Amorello Safari Park
5 minutes drive away, Amorello Safari Park has a number of exciting activities to keep you busy throughout your stay, including the best Mountain Biking and Quad trails in the area. Amorello MTB Safari has over 300km’s of MTB and running trails which will cater to every level of athlete. The park has 20km of flowing single track under the Acacia trees, along game tracks and old water courses. You can access trails in Isimangaliso False Bay Park, a National Heritage site, or run along the shores of the lake. Epic rides take you to the Lebombo mountains. Kiddies track in view of the restaurant. The bush golf course has 9 holes and 18 tee boxes. You can expect antelope to watch your drive, while a wildebeest grazes next to you.
Hluhluwe Game Reserve
30.2km from Hluhluwe. Established in 1895, wildlife viewing has always been the prime attraction at Hluhluwe, close range sightings made all the more exciting with viewing hides conveniently overlooking waterholes. Today the reserve is part of the greater Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park covering 96 000 hectares and containing an immense diversity of animals, birds and plants.
Hippo and Croc St Lucia Cruise
41.8km from Hluhluwe. Take a 2 hour leisurely cruise on the St Lucia Cruise Estuary. Spot hippo, crocodile, fish eagles, kingfishers and herons galore. Or just relax and enjoy the ride.
St Lucia Beach
42.5km from Hluhluwe. The gorgeous golden sands of St Lucia Beach stretch as far as the eye can see in both directions. this subtropical beach experiences around 300 days of sunshine a year. Not only that, the Indian Ocean is pleasantly warm. Take care when swimming here though as there are rip currents and it is advisable to stay close to shore.
