The North Coast of KZN is known as the Dolphin Coast. Frequent sightings of bottlenose dolphins occur who ride the waves of the Indian Ocean in large frolicking schools. This strip of golden coastline stretches from the Tongaat River at Zimbali to the Tugela River Mouth in the north.
The Dolphin Coast is a beautiful playground of warm waters, incredible waves and glorious beaches set alongside fields of sugarcane in a part of the world where humidity and warm weather is present almost throughout the year. The north coast offers perfect swimming and surfing conditions, a collection of tidal pools and excellent fishing spots. There is a wide selection of things to do on the North Coast.
