Pennington is a tranquil little South Coast village only fifteen kilometers to the south of Scottburgh. Pennington was originally a farm owned by the Pennington family and is set in a most attractive forested region along the KZN South Coast.

There is excellent South Coast scuba diving opportunities and trips may be taken to the world-famous South Coast Aliwal Shoal just a few kilometers off these attractive beaches. There are good salt and freshwater fishing to be had on and off the South Coast beaches, as well as some excellent and popular south coast surfing spots.
