Offering superb views of the Indian Ocean and Tsitsikamma Mountains, the property is surrounded by manicured lawns and well maintained borders of indigenous plants, shrubs and trees. The garden’s center piece is a large heated swimming pool surrounded by sundecks and elegant outdoor furniture.

Unique features include a home entertainment system, two outside showers, private access to a communal hard tennis court and small pavilion, plus use of an exclusive picnic area with pond and three small wooden summerhouses.

Being totally private and secure, The Meadows is quiet, peaceful, very safe for children and an idyllic setting for an unforgettable vacation.

Self Catering Accommodation (House + Cottage): Sleeps 18 maximum. 12 in main house and 6 maximum in the cottage.

Restrictions: No pets. Not wheelchair friendly. No smoking in house.

Access & parking: Double garage, plus driveway parking for five additional vehicles.

Services: Mains electricity, gas, landline phone, ADSL Internet

Housekeeping: Daily maid service from 8.00am to 3.30pm Monday – Friday included in rental rate. Additional days and other services (e.g. baby-sitting and personal laundry) on request.

Linen: All bed linen is provided and changed weekly. Bathroom and pool towels are also provided, but guests should bring their own beach towels.

Pool: 15m x 5m, salt-chlorinated, heated with electric cover.

The Main House

Accommodating up to 12 people in six beautifully appointed bedrooms, all with luxurious en-suite bathrooms and ample storage space, the property is arranged on two floors. The ground floor features a huge double-height entrance hall, spacious guest cloakroom, attractive TV lounge/music room, a large, luxurious kitchen with island unit and impressive dining table seating 12 people, fully equipped bar area (with bar fridge, ice-maker and additional flat screen TV) and a utility room with washer, dryer & additional freezer).

There is a further entertainment area with a large gas-powered braai, seating and dining table, opening directly to the garden and covered deck with its own dining area. The ground floor bedroom features a king-size bed, ensuite bath/shower room and private door leading to the garden.

The first floor is accessed by an elegant circular staircase, leading to a galleried landing with furnished balcony and four bedrooms: a beautifully presented master suite with king bed, ensuite bath/shower room, dressing room and balcony with sea and mountain views and three further bedrooms (one king, plus two twins/doubles), all with stunning ensuite bathrooms and balconies.

Bedroom six is a separate studio apartment accessed via an external staircase. It features a queen bed with ensuite bath/shower room, lounge area (with DSTV), plus a well-equipped open-plan kitchen with breakfast bar.

The Cottage

Located a short distance south of the main house, the attractive double-storey cottage can accommodate up to six people. The ground floor features a comfortable lounge area with DSTV & DVD player, fully equipped kitchen, dining area (seating 6) and built-in wall fire/braai unit. The master suite comprises a queen-size bed, dressing room, ensuite bath/shower room and balcony with sea views.

Bedroom two has twin beds that can be converted into a queen. A corridor off the entrance hallway houses a washing machine and storage area leading to a luxury shower room, further cloakroom and a spare bedroom with sofa bed (suitable for two children).

There is an entertainment deck on two sides of the building with tiled alcove with wooden picnic table (seating six), sun loungers and external access to the built-in fireplace/braai.

NB. The Cottage can be included in the overall property rental rate in peak and high seasons, but is available separately for out of season lettings for small groups.

Safety and Security

In addition to a manned security gate, walls and electrified fence, the property benefits from two intercom systems: from the main gate to the house and from the gate barrier to the house and cottage. There is a comprehensive house alarm system linked to a local security company, plus additional internal security in both the main house & cottage.
