Sedgefield is an ideal family destination to relax and enjoy the great outdoors. Nestling between pine-covered hills and beautiful unspoiled beaches, in the heart of the Lakes district and the South African Garden Route. The beautiful seaside village is surrounded by lakes, sand dunes, fynbos and pine plantations, as well as the Swart vlei estuary and the Indian Ocean. The surrounding area has lovely forest hiking trails and the only freshwater lake in the district, Groen vlei. which is popular for bass fishing. The estuary and beaches offer the bather and fisherman endless days of lazy sunbathing and fishing off the beach or estuary, as well as spearfishing off Gericke’s Point, where you will find interesting rock formations. The Sedgefield Island is conservancy to many wild tortoises that roam freely on The Island. The ocean is very close – you can hear the waves at night.

1 x Double Suite – 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, lounge/kitchenette/dining;

Communal areas:

Playground – trampoline, slide, swings, jungle gym (fully walled/enclosed area);

Swimming pool – with Aquanet safety net (when required) & solar heated;

Braai areas: 2 x brick built-in braais;

Fire-pit: brick fire-pit with brick seating.

Please note that the owners stays in the main house on the property.

There is a fully paved braai area with fire pit and a sparkling pool nestling on lush green lawns. A fully enclosed children’s play area with jungle gym, swings, slide and trampoline. Safe off-road parking is available.

• The Cottage: Lounge opening out to the heated pool & own BBQ, full kitchen, dining & bathroom (shower). 2 Bedrooms sleeps 4-5;
• Family Suite: Lounge, full kitchen/dining & bathroom (bath & shower). 2 Bedrooms sleeps up to 4;
• Double Suite: Lounge/dining/ kitchenette and bathroom (shower). A double bedroom with an extra bed in lounge for a child, sleeps 3;
• A communal sparkling solar heated swimming pool (with an Aquanet fitted safety net), 2 x brick braai’s, fire-pit and paved entertainment area for those hot Summer days.
• A separate enclosed playground for children with jungle-gym, swings, slide & trampoline.
• Each unit has OVHD satellite, HDTv, airconditioner & media player.
• Free wifi for guests.
